Voices International, a 50-member choral group based in Luxembourg , will perform its Christmas 2009 repertoire in four churches around the Grand Duchy on the 4th, 6th, 12th and 13th of December.

Founded in 1997, this choral group thrives on diversity - a diversity that ranges from the styles and languages of the music they sing to the 20 different nationalities represented amongst their members. As is the tradition, this December the group will present its Christmas selections in some very lovely churches in Luxembourg Ville and its surrounding villages - starting out in the Niederanven Church (Friday 4th), then St. Jean in the Grund (Sunday 6th), Bonnevoie Church (Saturday 12th), and finally Koerich Church (Sunday 13th). Each of these venues offers its own unique architectural style, ambience and acoustic properties.

Voices International is directed and conducted by Mr. Jean Schumacher, who will be enjoying his 7th performance season with the group. As always, this season’s repertoire covers a wide range of musical styles (rock, classical, jazz, traditional and spiritual) and languages. Although English is the predominant language in the repertoire, you can also look forward to at least one selection in French, German, Spanish, Luxembourgish, Latin, and Polish.

There is no charge for admission to these concerts, but contributions will be gratefully accepted. The group donates the proceeds of its concerts to children's charities around the world.
