Come for the singing โ stay for the people
The Work of Singing: Building Confidence and Connection
At Voices International, our workshops are not one-off eventsโthey are part of the rhythm of our community.
We usually start the same way: people arrive from different backgrounds, different countries, and different musical experiences. There are greetings in many languages, conversations about joy, but also about the challenges of life.
Of course, we are here to work on our voices.
Then the warm-up begins. Sometimes it includes gentle massage among ourselves, relaxing movements, and vocal warm-ups. It is a moment to arrive, to let go of the day, and to connect with one another.
At the heart of every workshop is the work itself: singing. Once the first notes are sung, something shiftsโindividual voices begin to blend, listen to each other, and build something collective.
We then explore new songs, refine our technique, and challenge ourselves musically. Exercises we have worked on at home start to take shape together. Voices become clearer, stronger, and more united.
And then, the harmony emerges.
Extending Our Impact Beyond the Workshop
At Voices International, every initiative is also an opportunity to give back. A portion of the proceeds of our concerts have been donated directly to two remarkable organizations:
- The Luxembourg Rett Syndrome Association (ALSR), which supports individuals affected by Rett syndrome and their families, while raising awareness and promoting research
- EFID (Empowering Individuals for Inclusion and Diversity), which works to build a more inclusive society by supporting migrants, refugees, and women in reaching their full potential
After a morning of singing and working together, we invited the volunteers from both associations into the room.
We first welcomed them with a short musical performance. It was a simple gesture of gratitude, but also a way to create a shared space through musicโsomething that belongs to everyone, beyond words.
Then came the stories behind the causes.

From the Luxembourg Rett Syndrome Association, we heard about Ajla, Emmie, Charlie, Lara, Shola, and Mariana. These stories gave a human face to Rett syndrome, highlighting not only the daily challenges, but above all the courage, resilience, and strength of these girls and their families.
From EFID, we listened to the experiences of people arriving in Luxembourg, often in vulnerable situations, rebuilding their lives far from everything familiar. Their journeys reflected uncertainty, adaptation, and the search for dignity and belonging in a new environment.

Different contexts, but a shared thread: the need to be supported, understood, and included.
Looking Ahead: Join Us and Support the Impact
As we continue our journey in 2026 and beyond, we are looking to grow both our artistic and social impact.
We warmly invite organizations and partners to support our initiative through sponsorship. Your support helps us expand our workshops, develop our international choir, and, most importantly, increase our contributions to the charities we proudly stand behind.
At the same time, we look forward to welcoming new voices into our international choir next yearโcontinuing to build a community where diversity, inclusion, and shared expression come to life through music.
Together, we can amplify voicesโnot only on stage, but in the lives of those who need it most.

The Luxembourg Rett Syndrome Association (ALSR) is an organization dedicated to supporting people with Rett syndrome and their families in Luxembourg. It works to raise awareness, provide mutual support, and promote research, collaborating with networks such as ALAN (Rare Diseases Luxembourg). It advocates for greater recognition of those affected, notably by launching petitions for support for family caregivers, and offers contacts for assistance and information.

EFID is a non-profit organization dedicated to building a cohesive society based on understanding and tolerance. We are committed to empowering all individuals, particularly migrants, refugees, and women, by providing them with opportunities to reach their full potential and make a positive impact on society.
